Does all of your employee stock option tax advice apply to
Washington State?
Answer
Date: 7 Oct 2008
Hello Landry,
My federal tax advice should apply to Washington State.
Washington State doesn't have an income tax. There are other
Washington taxes that I am not familiar with and that you should
consult with a local tax advisor about. Also, the community
property rules for Washington State operate differently from our
California community property rules, so you should consult with a
Washington attorney for your estate planning.
Good luck!
